Painting For Pleasure: New Term.....

The first session of the Painting For Pleasure meetings at Hazel Court next year will be on Wednesday, 4th January, 2012.

End Of Term.....

Members should note that the Wednesday and Saturday 'Painting For Pleasure' sessions at Hazel Court have now finished until the beginning of September.

Saturday Group News.....

A reminder that there is no Saturday Group on June 12th, as the room at Hazel Court was pre-booked for another event.

We have now booked the facility for every Saturday until Xmas, so there's no excuse - please come along and enjoy the Painting For Pleasure experience.

New Painting For Pleasure Group.....

We are pleased to announce that we are now running a Saturday Painting For Pleasure group for our members at the Arts & Crafts Room, 1st Floor, Hazel Court, Sketty Park, Swansea, SA2 8BP.

This Group will involve no tuition, no group leaders and the rule is that there are no rules!

We envisage that members will be able to:

• Do their own thing
• Learn from each other
• Enjoy a convivial painting experience.

There are two sessions, which last from 9am-11am and 11am-1pm and each costs a nominal 50p (in the box provided).

There is a group limit of 25 persons and attendance is on a first come first served basis. If numbers permit, you will be able to stay for the full 4 hour session, if you arrive at 9am.

This group will be of particular interest to our working members who cannot attend the Friday afternoon sessions.

Happy New Year!

We're all looking forward to some serious artistic activity within the Society this year and the planned Programme of Events looks exciting.

Two reminders...

Painting For Pleasure Group Meetings: These weekly meetings resume this Friday afternoon at 1pm, 9th January, at St Illtyd's.

Art Workshops: A reminder to those members who have pre-booked that the first Workshop in 2009 will be held from 10am-4pm on Thursday 8th January, at St. Illtyd's.

Graham Hadlow is the expert provider and his theme will be Painting Mountains And Lakes through the medium of watercolours.

Welcome To 2008!

The Wednesday (portraiture) and Friday (general painting) group meetings resume this week, after the Christmas break.

All members are welcome to attend and we again look forward to the artistic synergy that these lively sessions will produce this year.

Another Year Ends...

The final photos have been entered into the 2007 photo journal albums for the groups of artists meeting weekly on Wednesdays (Portraiture) and Fridays (Painting).

In order to keep the albums a mangeable size, we'll be starting a new photo journal for each group for 2008.
