Winter Programme VI: Reminder.....

The final session of this year's Winter Progamme is ?????, led by artist Janet Bligh, who is a professional artist and a member of the society.

Janet will be focusing particularly on ...............transforming landscapes into abstract images???

The format will be an Art Master Class, with the members who have booked their place (for a small charge) as active participants, taking part in the workshop element.

You are welcome to attend as an observer (no charge to members) and we hope that there will again be interaction between all those present.

The session is from 12.30pm - 3.30pm on Thursday 5th April and the venue is the St Paul's Parish Centre, Sketty.

Winter Programme IV: Reminder.....

The fourth session of this year's Winter Progamme is entitled Pastel Portraits, and will be led by Cowbridge based artist Sue McDonagh.

Sue will be focusing particularly on drawing faces and hands in this medium.

The format again will be an Art Master Class, with the members who have booked their place (for a small charge) involved as active participants, through taking part in the workshop element.

All members are welcome to attend as observers (free of charge) and we hope that there will again be interaction between all those present.

The session is from 12.30pm - 3.30pm on Thursday 2nd February and the venue is the St Paul's Parish Centre, Sketty.

Winter Programme III: Reminder.....

The third session of this year's Winter Progamme is the last in the mini-series Print Making III, led by Carys Roberts of the Swansea Print Workshop.

This session will review techniques from the first and second workshops of the series and point the way forward to more advanced study of the subject.

The format again will be an Art Master Class, with the ten members who have booked their place (for a small charge) being active participants and taking part in the workshop element.

You are welcome to attend as an observer (no charge to members) and we hope that there will again be positive interaction between all those present.

The session is from 12.30pm - 3.30pm on Thursday 1st December and the venue is the St Paul's Parish Centre, Sketty.

The second session of this year's Winter Progamme is Print Making II, led by Carys Roberts of the Swansea Print Workshop.

The format again will be an Art Master Class, with the ten members who have booked their place (for a small charge) acting as active participants through taking part in the workshop element.

You are welcome to attend as an observer (no charge to members) and we hope that there will again be interaction between all those present.

The session is from 12.30pm - 3.30pm on Thursday 3rd November and the venue is the St Paul's Parish Centre, Sketty.

Winter Programme I: Reminder.....

The first session of this year's Winter Progamme is Print Making I, led by Carys Roberts of the Swansea Print Workshop.

This year the format will be an Art Master Class, with the ten members who have booked their place (for a small charge) involved as active participants, taking part in the workshop element.

Other members will attend as observers (no charge) and we hope that there will be a high degree of interaction between all those present.

Workshop members will have their work printed on a portable printing press on site.

The session is from 12.30pm - 3.30pm on Thursday 6th October and the venue is the St Paul's Parish Centre, Sketty.

Winter Programme: Session VII.....

The final session of this year's Winter Programme takes place on Friday April 1st, from 6.30pm-9pm at Hazel Court Community Hall, Sketty Park.

The session will involve firstly viewing and afterwards discussing issues raised in a DVD by professional artist Mitch Waite, on the use of Interactive Acrylic Paints, which have only recently become available to artists.

All members are welcome - we hope you can attend.

The sixth instalment of this year's Winter Programme is on Friday 4th March at 6.30pm.

The venue is Hazel Court Community Hall and this is the annual 'Bring A Picture' session.

Winter Programme V: Advance Notice....

The next session of the Winter Programme is on Friday, 4th February, 2011 at Hazel Court Community Hall, Sketty Park from 6.30pm onwards.

The artist is Peter Cronin, and his demonstration is entitled 'Rural Landscape In Watercolour'.

Winter Programme IV: Advance Notice.....

Happy New Year to all our members.

The next session in this year's Winter Programme is on Friday 7th January and will be a viewing of a DVD by professional artist E. John Robinson entitled 'Painting The Sea In Oils'.

The venue is the Community Hall at Hazel Court and members should arrive from 6.30pm onwards.

Winter Programme III: Reminder.....

The third session of this year's Winter Programme takes place tomorrow night at Hazel Court, Sketty Park.

A demonstration of watercolour techniques by Graham Hadlow entitled 'Boats & Harbours' starts at 6.30pm and we're all looking forward to it, as Graham's sessions are always greatly appreciated by our members.
