The final Winter Programme session for this year was a demonstration of Pen & Wash techniques, by artist Peter Cronin.
The large number of members who attended appreciated Peter's inspirational approach to the step-by-step evolution of the two images he created (one is pictured here).

The final session of this year's highly successful Winter Programme will be held at the usual venue on Friday 25th April at 7pm.
Members will be treated to a demonstration on Pen & Wash Watercolour Techniques by local artist and teacher, Peter Cronin.

The next meeting in this year's Winter Programme is the popular Bring A Picture event.
It will be held from 7pm until 9.30p.m. on Friday March 28th, 2008 at the venue printed in the last newsletter.
Members are encouraged to bring along an example of their own original work (or a print of another artist's work) to share with those attending and to speak briefly about their choice.

The demonstration of watercolour painting by Graham Hadlow was very well attended and it proved illuminating for all those who witnessed it.

There will be a watercolour painting demonstration by professional artist, Graham Hadlow, entitled West Wales Landscapes at 7p.m. on Friday November 30th, 2007 at the venue printed in the recent newsletter.
We have featured Graham's watercolour of the picturesque Lower Fishguard Harbour, where an early TV adaptation of Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas was filmed and more recently it was used in the filming of the series The Onedin Line.

Sue McDonach (pictured here) gave society members a fascinating demonstration of landscape painting and all who attended had a very enjoyable and informative evening.

It will take the form of a mixed-media painting demonstration entitled Coastal Landscape, by Sue McDonach.
Her choice of subject has inspired us to display a photo of the iconic image of Mumbles Lighthouse (viewed from Bracelet Bay), taken last Summer.

The illustrated talk by Dr. Alan Marriott was very well received and members who attended were transported to and from a variety of different landscapes and all gained a deeper insight into their interpretation by artists throughout the ages.
